About Jen
I am a 2005 graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire, and have been a licensed childcare provider since 2011. I am a proud mom of two young boys, and have been happily married to my husband since 2011.
I was born and raised in the Twin Cities, but in 2010 we decided to make the move to my husband's hometown of Rochester. We couldn't be happier to live here and I love having the chance to make a positive impact on our local community through childcare.

About Childcare
By enrolling into my childcare, you can be assured that your child will get a great mix of both structured and free play. We spend our morning hours doing preschool activities to help prepare your child for kindergarten. I strive to give each child plenty of one-on-one attention each day, and I attempt to make their days as close to their comfortable home life as possible.
I live on a quiet street and have a great fenced in backyard (complete with swing set, playhouse and several other large toys). We are walking distance to a great neighborhood park with extra space to run, climb and play basketball.
Year-round outdoor play is provided (as weather permits) and we spend as much time outdoors as possible. Hands on activities, crafts, and unique experiences are provided daily as well as nutritious meals and snacks.
While we do focus on the basic academics, we also heavily focus on self-care & independence. Having the ability to get dressed, put on outdoor gear, use the bathroom, wash hands, clear their space at the table, help their daycare friends, clean up their space etc. are all focused on in my care. Life in childcare prepares your children for a great big world, and that independence & ability to socialize/work alongside their peers are very important factors! Your child will graduate from my program with both strong academic and self care abilities - giving them a big head start for kindergarten!
